Color is perceived in our retina through three photoreceptors: red, green, blue. When these photoreceptors are over stimulated an after image is created with opposing colors. This installation uses this phenomenon to create a color changing experience through the combination of color and after images. By focusing on the center dot, your photoreceptors will be stimulated over time and your brain will begin to generate colored after images in places color does not physically exists. Immerse yourself in this realm that lies in real and created color. What colors are actually changing? Where is your brain creating color?
